Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, has donated 3,000,000 Baht to UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. The "UNRWA Flash Appeal: 90-day initial emergency response to the escalation in the Gaza Strip in October 2023" prompted this donation. Mr. Giuseppe De Vincentiis, UN Resident Coordinator, ad interim, accepted the donation on behalf of UNRWA.Thailand has continuously shown its commitment to humanitarian assistance as a responsible member of the world community; since 1978, Thailand has provided financial support to UNRWA. This most recent donation is part of Thailand's continuous multi-year pledge to make voluntary contributions to UNRWA, which will cover the years 2022–2026 and total 200,000 USD. This commitment is a continuation of the prior multi-year pledge made in the same amount from 2017–2021.
