4th Army Region Commander Lt Gen. Santi Sakuntanark recently launched the 6th annual “From Abandoned Paddies to Cherished Paddies” initiative in Songkhla Province in order to support community-based tourism and strengthen the region's multicultural social fabric. Its goal is to give incentives to farmers who are Muslim and Buddhist in the area to reinvigorate rice agriculture by encouraging the restoration of neglected rice fields. Uniting the community and fostering love are important, according to Lt. Gen. Sant. He further declared that the Army is prepared to provide full support to this endeavor to penetrate deeper into the border provinces on the southern side.
