The Royal Title of King Rama X

The Royal Title of the new King of Thailand, Rama X, has been announced as "His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun.
 
According to the Royal Command, countersigned by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on 1 December 2016, the President of the National Legislative Assembly made the announcement on 1 December 2016 that His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej had appointed His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn his Heir to the Throne in accordance with the Palace Law on Succession B.E. 2467 (1924).
 
The National Legislative Assembly convened a meeting to acknowledge the appointment of the Heir to the Throne. Then the President of the National Legislative Assembly formally invited the Heir Apparent to ascend the Throne and announced that His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn had succeeded the Throne.
 
His Majesty the King deems it appropriate to have the Royal Title on a temporary basis, before the Royal Coronation Ceremony is held in accordance with ancient royal traditions at a later stage.
 
By Royal Command, the Royal Title "His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun was announced.
