Wat Phra That Cho Hae to Hold Its Annual Festival

In remembrance of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and to follow in his footsteps, Wat Phra That Cho Hae, together with Phrae province and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, will hold "Phra That Cho Hae 2017, its biggest annual festival, on 6-12 March 2017.
Phra That Cho Hae is a sacred place in Phrae and has been respected by locals for more than a thousand years. They believe that the period of the waxing of the moon from the 9th night to the 15th night of the 4th lunar month of every year, according to the Thai lunar calendar, is the holy period for paying respect to the relics.
The activities this year will include an elephant procession, activities in remembrance of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol the late Kings drawing contest and singing contest of His Majestys compositions and the selling of OTOP products from the Cho Hae community.
