Thailand and Malaysia will convene the Second Working Group on Dual Citizenship at a mutually convenient time with a view to finding an acceptable solution on the issue that will contribute to the resolving of the situation in the southern border provinces.
Thailand has been entrusted with serving as the coordinator for the universal health coverage network that will be formed by ASEAN and its three dialogue partners, namely China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, known as ASEAN+3.
The Cabinet has acknowledged a report that, as of 15 June 2012, a total of 658 factories in seven industrial estates in Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani provinces affected by the severe flooding in 2011 have resumed operation. The number accounts for 78.43 percent of the total of 839 flood-hit factories.
The number of foreign investment projects in the first five months of 2012 indicates that Thailand remains an attractive investment destination among foreign investors.
All relevant agencies have been urged to closely monitor effects of the eurozone debt crisis on the Thai economy and to work jointly in order to achieve the Government’s export-growth target of 15 percent in 2012.
Thailand is adjusting itself to cope with the eurozone debt crisis, and measures are being worked out by all agencies concerned to help Thai businesses that may be affected.
