Thailand to Celebrate ASEAN Day

Thailand is moving with its ASEAN partners toward an ASEAN Community. ASEAN will celebrate its 47th anniversary on 8 August 2014. Thailand will organize various activities to commemorate this event.

Thailand Sends Letters of Condolences for MH17 Crash in Ukraine

Head of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) General Prayut Chan-o-cha has sent letters of condolences to leaders of the countries whose citizens were victims of the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in Ukraine.

Strategies to Prepare Thailand for the ASEAN Community

A Directorate Center has been set up by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to prepare Thailand for the ASEAN Community 2015. NCPO also formed a committee to take charge of the operations of the center.

In preparation for the soon-to-be ASEAN Community, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan in northeastern Thailand is establishing ASEAN language and study centers in its campuses, which link with neighboring countries.
