Discussion in Bangkok on Food Security Issues in the ASEAN Region
The sharp increase in food prices has created serious concern about possible socio-economic impacts on countries worldwide. To address this problem, Thailand and its ASEAN partners joined a discussion on food security issues with the ASEAN Plus Three countries, comprising China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, and representatives from international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
