The Strategic Committee for Water Resources Management has approved guidelines for addressing immediate flood problems and placed an emphasis on the conservation and rehabilitation of watershed areas in handling sustainable water management.

Water Drainage in Bangkok and Nearby Provinces Adjusted in Line with the Changing Situation

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said that water drainage in Bangkok and six surrounding provinces was being adjusted, as the direction of the flood had changed. Therefore, relevant authorities needed to come up with a new plan to drain flood waters.

An Additional Fund to Restore Flood-Hit Facilities and a Move to Restore Investor Confidence

The Flood Recovery and Restoration Committee on Infrastructure, chaired by Transport Minister Air Chief Marshal Sukumpol Suwanatat, has requested a budget of 12.98 billion baht for various agencies to restore flood-hit facilities.
