Launching the ASEAN Station in Preparation for the ASEAN Community

The Public Relations Department (PRD) has recently launched the ASEAN Station at its main office in Bangkok. Its aim is to provide information and raise awareness among PRD officials about the 10 ASEAN countries in preparation for the regional integration in 2015.

Thailand and Japan Agree to Launch Mutual Help Plan

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the City of Sendai, and the Tohoku Tourism Promotion Organization has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to use tourism as a means of helping to facilitate an economic and social recovery from the natural disasters that have recently struck both destinations.

SILVERLAKE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2012

It became an immediate media frenzy after the news hit that critically acclaimed rock band Incubus will be headlining the world-stage at “Silverlake Music Festival 2012.” Organized by Silverlake Entertainment Company Limited at the Silverlake Vinery in Pattaya the concert will take place on Saturday, 28 January 2012 from noon until 2.00 am. It’s been seven long years since Incubus performed live in bangkok and both Incubus fans and music fans in general throughout Thailand are ecstatic by Incubus’ return.

FRINGE FESTIVAL 2011/2012

Hua Hin has its own Fringe Festival. After last year's joint staging in Bangkok and Hua Hin, the beautiful beach resort is now the only venue. With artitsts and performances from all over the world, and of course Thailand, this year's programme is unique and has something for everyone's taste. The current Fringe Festival runs from 12 November 2011 – 25 February 2012.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) has recently introduced 20,000 free public WiFi hotspots around Bangkok.
