| The MPC for the Royal Cremation of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra is located at Sriburapha Auditorium, Thammasat University, Tha Phra Chan, near the Sanam Luang ceremonial site. It can accommodate around 500 members of the international and local media, and will operate each day from 10 to 20 November 2008. The Press Working Area is equipped with various facilities, such as telephone lines, fax machines, Internet-linked computers, and plug-in points for laptops, plus an anti-virus program for computers brought in by journalists. MPC also includes press conference and MPC staff working areas and prayer rooms for Muslims. Tea, coffee, and snacks are offered free of charge. |

| MPC and the Bureau of the Royal Household have worked jointly in arranging 13 designated stands along the royal procession routes and at the area in front of the royal crematorium at Sanam Luang. Members of the media wishing to cover this royal cremation ceremony were allowed to apply for media accreditation from 15 September to 31 October 2008. |
| Information and Photo Services |
MPC provides the media guide, in Thai and English, and press releases as a source of information for media operations. In addition, it relays television signals from the International Broadcast Center (IBC), which is located at the Government Lottery Office on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, so that members of the media at MPC can see the whole process of the royal cremation on television monitors.
The Bureau of the Royal Household has also set up a news center for the royal cremation ceremony in the Grand Palace compound to provide a photo service for the media in the form of CDs. Members of the media may download images from the website between 15 and 19 November 2008. The digital photograph service is supported by the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center. Images may also be downloaded from the website .

Members of the press should dress in a polite manner. Those operating at the designated stands between 15 and 19 November 2008 are required to observe the following dress code:
- Males should wear a black suit with a black mourning arm band on the left and a colored arm band on the right. The colored arm band is provided by MPC each day during the period;
- Females should wear a black suit with skirt and a colored arm band on the right provided by MPC each day during the period;
- Photographers from the Bureau of the Royal Household and other government agencies operating within the Grand Palace and Ratchawat (ceremonial fence) compounds are required to follow the dress code as stated in the daily program.
As for IBC staff, males should wear a black suit with a black mourning arm band, while females should wear a black suit with skirt. Both males and females operating within the Grand Palace and Ratchawat compounds are required to follow the dress code as stated in the daily program. |

Thailand’s Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007) took effect on 18 June 2007. As a service provider, MPC is required to keep certain information regarding the use of the service, in compliance with this law.
“Computer traffic data” means data related to computer system-based communication showing sources of origin, starting points, destinations, routes, dates, time, volume, duration, types of services, and other related data. The service provider must keep data on the computer traffic of service users for a period of at least 90 days after the information enters the computer system.
Information concerning service users, such as names, surnames, identity card numbers, usernames, or pin codes will also be kept for at least 90 days after the end of the service. Members of the media wishing to use the Internet at MPC will be provided with a password from MPC staff.
If MPC fails to comply with the Computer Crime Act, it will be subject to a fine of up to 500,000 baht. In this regard, all members of the media using the Internet service or computer connection at MPC during the royal cremation period are requested to follow this law and other regulations set at MPC.

The Committee on Public Relations and Coordination for the Royal Cremation of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra has set up the International Broadcast Center (IBC) at the Government Lottery Office on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road. IBC will operate from 10 to 19 November 2008. Its personnel work jointly with staff from Television of Thailand (NBT Television), TV Pool of Thailand, Television Channel 3, Television Channel 5, Television Channel 7, Modernine TV, and Thai PBS.
IBC broadcasts live the royal cremation ceremony on TV Pool of Thailand, Thai TV Global Network, Television Channel 5, and Radio Thailand (NBT Radio). It produces live broadcast signals on the ceremony for Thais and foreigners living in and outside the country to view this important event. IBC also facilitates the operations of staff from local and international television stations in their coverage of the royal cremation ceremony. It also provides a service for using photo signals and conducting live broadcasts.
