Thai Medical Team to Help Treat Cyclone Victims in Myanmar (15/05/2008)

Myanmar government has agreed to welcome a Thai medical relief team sent by HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn to help victims of Cyclone Nargis. Public Health Minister Chaiya Sasomsab said 30 volunteer doctors will help treat the victims. Psychiatrists are also part of the team. The medical team will leave Thailand tomorrow and will be on duty in Myanmar for two weeks. His Majesty the King earlier urged Thai people to help Cyclone Nargis victims. The Cabinet also approved a grant of US$ 500,000 for Myanmar.
