If therefore, there are unethical operators who tarnish the reputation of Thailand and its gems and jewellery industry, measure have been undertaken to ensure that unscrupulous operators are being isolated and deprived of business. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has therefore renewed its call for Thailand's jewellery shops to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and products in dealing with customers, and has promised continued marketing support for those who do so by raising the visibility of the Jewel Fest Club (JFC) or the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) and encouraging visitors to shop only at the JFC-registered outlets.
