Ten rules for visitors to national parks in Thailand

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation posted on its Facebook page a list of regulations for tourists visiting national parks in order to ensure their own safety and to protect nature, as follows:
- No alcohol allowed in national parks;
- Do not collect flowers, plants, or other forest products;
- No polystyrene or toxic waste allowed;
- No pets allowed, as they disturb wildlife;
- No weapons allowed;
- Do not write on any surfaces;
- Do not make loud noises after 22.00 hr;
- Do not stray off the designated routes;
- Do not feed wild animals;
- Do not make a bonfire.

There are 156 national parks around Thailand, providing travelers with diverse natural resources such as caves, rivers, waterfalls, hot springs, forests, and seas.
