The Thailand Biennale Chiang Rai 2023 has successfully concluded. The event took place from 9 December 2023 to 30 April 2024, showcasing artworks by 60 artists from 21 countries. During the five months of the event, which attracted over 2.7 million visitors, both Thai and foreign, it generated revenue from tourism in Chiang Rai and neighboring provinces from November to February worth more than 24 billion baht (US$645 million).

The Thailand Biennale is an international contemporary art exhibition initiated by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture under the Ministry of Culture. The closing ceremony of the Thailand Biennale Chiang Rai was held on 27 April. On that occasion, the Phuket Governor was presented with the flag by the Minister of Culture, as a gesture of handing over the hosting of the Thailand Biennale to Phuket Province. The Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025 is scheduled to be held from December 2025 to April 2026.
