Sing the world a new tune! Download 6-language Loy Krathong playlist to celebrate this global festival!

Thailand’s Cultural Promotion Department has released a new version of the “Ram Wohng Wan Loy Krathong” song in six languages, i.e., Thai, English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.

The creation of the multi-lingual Loy Krathong song is one of many promotional projects aimed at upgrading the country’s major festivals to the global level. Moreover, Thailand is preparing to propose the inscription of the Loy Krathong Festival on the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Loy Krathong is celebrated annually during the full moon of the 12th month in the Thai lunar calendar; this year’s festival falls on 15 November. Many locations around the country are arranging activities to celebrate Loy Krathong.
