Buddha’s tooth relics from China to be enshrined from 5 December 2024 to 14 February 2025 in Bangkok

The Chinese government has agreed to allow the Buddha’s sacred tooth relics from Beijing’s Lingguang Temple to be temporarily enshrined in Thailand, as part of the celebration of His Majesty the King’s sixth-cycle birthday anniversary, 28 July 2024, and the 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations in 2025.

The Thai government has constructed a pavilion at Sanam Luang Ceremonial Ground to house the holy tooth relics. The pavilion’s design blends Thai and Chinese artistic elements.

All members of the public, both Thais and foreigners, are invited to pay homage to the Buddha’s tooth relics at Sanam Luang Ceremonial Ground in Bangkok, from 5 December 2024 to 14 February 2025. This 72-day event will be a highly auspicious occasion for Buddhists and devotees.
