Flavorful Pride: Pad Riew Khiew Sawoey Mango Erarns GI Recognition from DIP

The Ministry of Commerce has listed Pad Riew Khiew Sawoey mango (Mangifera indica) as a Geographical Indication (GI) product.

Pad Riew Khiew Sawoey mango offers a delightful balance of flavors, combining natural sweet and tender taste; it is also popular for its large size, and the pulp is stodgy and crisp. This marks the third fruit from Chachoengsao, given a GI designation, following Nam Dok Mai See Thong Bang Khla Mango (Barracuda mango) and Bang Khla aromatic coconut.

The Department of Intellectual Property has registered a total of 246 Geographical Indication products across all 77 provinces in Thailand. These products collectively generate over 77 billion baht in earning, significantly drive economic growth, and strengthen sustainability by focusing on distributing income to local communities. The policy emphasizes enhancing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector.
