Particular Features of the Royal Emblem for the Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of HM the King Attaining the Same Age as HM King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I) 14 January 2025

The Thai government has recently disclosed a crafted emblem to commemorate the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining the Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I), the founder of the Chakri Dynasty. This event, set for January 14, underscores the profound royal legacy linking Thailand’s present to its illustrious past.

At the emblem's core are two Royal Insignias: that of King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great and His Majesty the King. These symbols rest on a royal blue background within an intricate frame inspired by the traditional Thai Phum Kao Bin design.

Above the insignias, the Chakra and Trident proudly represent the Chakri Dynasty and His Majesty’s leadership as its supreme head. Below them is the Naga head, signifying the Year of the Dragon, the shared zodiac sign of both King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great and King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

The insignias are placed on a sacred lotus surrounded by the Unalome symbol, embodying Buddhist principles central to the Chakri Dynasty. A green backdrop highlights the Friday birthday of King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great. Traditional white royal umbrellas flank the design, symbolizing the regalia of His Majesty’s reign.

At the top, the Great Victory Crown sits as a symbol of supreme authority and royal magnificence. Below, a ribbon adorned with Naga heads reinforces the Year of the Dragon theme. Written in gold on a blue background, the inscription reads, “The Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty Attaining the Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great.”

At the very bottom is a frame adorned with Naga motifs, featuring silver inscription that reads "14 January 2025" on a pink background, which is the date of the main celebration.

This emblem not only celebrates the special occasion but also symbolizes the enduring connection between King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great and King Maha Vajiralongkorn. It reflects the timeless legacy of the Chakri Dynasty, bridging generations with reverence and unity.
