According to the Ministry of Commerce's report on cut flower exports in 2024, Thailand exported 21,135 tons, reaching a total value of 2.5 billion baht (71.3 million US dollars).
Orchids comprised the main flower export, with 19,129 tons and valued at 2.18 billion baht (62.1 million USD). Major markets are the U.S.A., accounting for 24.7% of all exports, Vietnam (22.8%), Japan (17.1%), China (12.3%), and Italy (4.8%).
Key flower plantations in Thailand are orchid, lotus, calendula, and rose. The Government encourages the use of modern farming technology, while promoting agricultural tourism to make beautiful Thai flowers better known worldwide.
