According to Thailand’s Trade Policy and Strategy Office, Thailand has emerged as Asia’s largest ice cream exporter and 11th globally behind Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, the U.S.A., Spain, the U.K., and Hungary.
Thailand’s ice cream exports have grown steadily. Between 2020 and 2024, export value averaged 106 million US dollars per year, with an annual growth rate of 11%. In the first two months of 2025, export value reached 22 million US dollars. Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, and Cambodia are the five largest importers of Thailand's ice cream.
Thailand’s ice cream industry benefits from its diverse ingredients. Various Thai fruits can be combined with ice cream to create Thai fruit and dessert flavors, such as durian, coconut, Thai tea, and sticky rice.
