Thailand breaks into Saudi Arabia's Tapioca Market 1st order US$4.18M

The Ministry of Commerce has recently reported the results of the Thai delegation’s visit to Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia to expand Thai tapioca markets. The delegation presented the benefits of Thai tapioca’s nutrition and entered into discussions with major regional animal food companies and animal feed importers.

As a result of the visit, Saudi Arabia placed a first order for Thailand’s tapioca of over 20,000 tons, valued at US$4.18 million, showing very good prospects for tapioca exports.

Thailand has long been well-known for the quality of its tapioca, which also has high nutritional value and can be used as an effective raw material in the animal feed industry.
