Thailand moves to exit U.S. Intellectual Property Watch List

The Cabinet has approved a new intellectual property Work Plan (IP Work Plan) to support Thailand’s removal from the U.S. Intellectual Property Watch List.

Thailand has been on the U.S. Watch List since 2018. The roadmap, developed in collaboration with Thailand’s Department of Intellectual Property and the United States Trade Representative (USTR), outlines actions aimed at removing Thailand from all observation lists. The plan introduces faster enforcement measures for all IP violations, such as trademarks, copyrights, and pharmaceutical patents. The next step is to submit the approved plan for U.S. review.
