Rayong Secures Top Spot as Asia’s Leading Slow Travel Destination for 2025

The global travel platform Agoda has ranked Thailand’s Rayong Province as the number one preferred destination for slow travel in Asia for the year 2025. This recognition reflects a shifting trend in tourism, moving away from hurried trips toward a more meaningful and immersive experience at each location.

Rayong stands out with its serene beaches such as Mae Ramphueng Beach, the lush greenery of the Thung Prong Thong mangrove forest—the largest in the province—and the vibrant local fishing markets offering fresh seafood. These attractions embody the essence of sustainable tourism that harmonizes nature, local lifestyles, and environmental stewardship.

The government reaffirms its commitment to supporting tourism development in all aspects, including natural resource conservation and infrastructure enhancement, to position Thailand as a preferred destination for travelers worldwide and encourage repeat visits.
