Thai sausages make it to the World's top 50 by Tasteatlas

 Thailand’s culinary excellence continues to shine on the world stage! In the latest “50 Best Cooked Sausages in the World – 2025” by TasteAtlas, two traditional Thai sausages have been recognized among the best:

#23 – Sai Krok Isan
A northeastern Thai fermented sausage made from minced pork, sticky rice, garlic, and salt. Left to ferment naturally, it develops a distinct tangy flavor. Typically grilled or fried and served with fresh chilies, sliced ginger, and raw garlic — a street food staple full of character.

#49 – Sai Ua
A northern Thai herbal sausage packed with flavor. Ground pork is blended with red curry paste, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and local herbs. It’s grilled until crispy on the outside and juicy inside, offering a bold and aromatic taste of Lanna heritage.

These two Thai sausages reflect the rich diversity of Thai cuisine, where each region contributes its own unique flavors, ingredients, and culinary traditions.

Topping this year’s global ranking is "Salsiccia" from Italy—a fresh pork sausage infused with a medley of herbs and spices, typically enjoyed unsmoked and uncured for a pure, savory flavor.
