During the recent MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2025, Sheikhul Islam of Thailand Arun Boonchom announced Thailand’s ambition to rise to the world’s 5th largest Halal food exporter, building on its reputation as the “Kitchen of the World.”
With over 190,000 certified Halal products across food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, Thailand is known for strict, trusted standards and high-quality, diverse ingredients.
Global demand for Halal-certified products is rapidly expanding—not just among Muslims but also among health- and quality-conscious consumers worldwide.
“Countries like Brazil lead the market—but Thailand has the resources and credibility to compete. We just need stronger support and more global orders,” said Sheikhul Islam of Thailand Arun.
Despite being ranked 11th in export value today, Thailand’s Halal certification system is already recognized internationally, opening doors to Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
