Thai Cultural Exhibition Draws Massive Crowds at Thai Festival Moscow 2025

The "Playful Thainess" exhibition by Thailand's Government Public Relations Department (PRD) attracted over 10,000 visitors at the Thai Festival in Moscow 2025, showcasing Thai culture through interactive modern media.

The exhibition featured three zones: "Play the News" with a simulated NBT World mini-studio where visitors read news in Russian, "Try to Play" introducing Thai games like Home Sweet Home, and "Play to Make" offering AI photo booths with Thai costumes and DIY aromatic souvenirs.

Two Russian volunteers, Anna and Anastasia, both fluent in Thai from previous studies in Thailand, served as cultural ambassadors. Dressed in traditional Thai attire, they participated enthusiastically in activities. Anastasia praised Thai cuisine and Northeastern culture, while Anna, who studied Thai literature, highlighted how the festival beautifully connected Thai-Russian cultures.

The event included performances by Thai educational institutions featuring music and fashion shows of regional Thai textiles designed by Srinakharinwirot University's Faculty of Fine Arts, reflecting cultural diversity paralleling Russian traditions.

"This exhibition creates a space for foreigners to enjoy and participate in Thai culture through creative activities while maintaining the authentic essence of Thainess," said Sudruetai Lertkasem, PRD Director-General. "It reflects Thailand's soft power potential on the international stage."

The second day of the festival saw over 5,000 visitors engaging specifically with the PRD booth, praising the accessible presentation format and its powerful communication of Thai cultural charm.
