Pakk Taii Design Week 2025 boots economy of southern cities through creativity & well-being

Pakk Taii Design Week 2025 is being held until 7 September 2025 at Songkhla Old Town and Hat Yai in Songkhla Province, under the theme “South Paradise.” This southern Thailand annual creative festival, now in its third year—organized by the Creative Economy Agency (CEA) Public Organization in collaboration with public and private partners—serves not only as a stage to showcase the creative potential of the South but also introduces the “De-Stress Economy,” a new economic model focused on well-being. It connects the economy with quality of life and tourism, allowing visitors to experience peace of mind, relaxation, and inspiration for life. This approach addresses the current era of stress and challenges.

Jiraporn Sindhuprai, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, stated at the opening ceremony on 28 August that the South is a region blessed with outstanding cultural assets, beautiful nature, and local wisdom. These qualities can be leveraged to develop a wide range of creative industries, such as design, architecture, fashion, music, food, and creative tourism. These industries generate jobs, income, and new investments. The Government is ready to support Songkhla and southern cities in their pursuit of becoming leading creative cities on the global stage by maximizing their potential in trade, investment, and cultural exchange with ASEAN and international communities.

CEA has held annual Design Weeks in four regions of Thailand: Bangkok Design Week, Chiang Mai Design Week, Isan Creative Festival, and Pakk Taii Design Week.
