Thailand Wins 8 PATA Awards 2025 in Digital Marketing, Travel Photography, and Sustainable Tourism

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) organized the PATA Travel Mart 2025 on 28 August 2025, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, and granted PATA awards to honor its outstanding tourism achievements across the Asia-Pacific travel industry. Thailand's tourism organizations, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Digital Marketing Campaign (Destination), won a total of eight awards in digital marketing, travel photography, and sustainable tourism.

The TAT was granted two PATA Gold Awards 2025 in the Best Integrated Digital Marketing Campaign and Best Travel Photography categories for its tourism campaigns "The Love Season" and "The Hidden Romance of Sam Roi Yot," respectively. The campaigns showcase TAT's success in its digital communication strategy to engage the global market and portray Thailand's natural attractions and diversity in ways that catch the eyes of international audiences.

As for the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), it won six PATA Awards in sustainable and responsible tourism, including the following:

1. PATA Grand Award 2025 in Sustainability and Social Responsibility for “Sustainable Cultural Heritage Preservation of the Ban Na Ton Chan Homestay Community Enterprise”;

2. PATA Gold Award 2025 in Best Climate Action Initiative for “Carbon Neutral Community-based Tourism Prototype”;

3. PATA Gold Award 2025 in Best Inclusion and Diversity Initiative for “Community-based Tourism for All: CBT for All”;

4. PATA Gold Award 2025 in Destination Resilience for “Creative Spaces Revitalizing the Old Town into a Lively Heritage District”;

5. PATA Gold Award 2025 in Best Women Empowerment Initiative for “Women’s Empowerment in Driving Community-based Tourism: A Case Study of Ban San Thang Luang, Chiang Rai Province”; and

6. PATA Gold Award 2025 in Best Youth Empowerment Initiative for “Social Enterprise for Youth in Thailand – Loei Youth Saving Group.”

The eight PATA awards for Thailand this year underscore its proficiency in sustainable tourism development and innovative marketing in the international arena, and elevate its recognition as one of the world’s most inspiring destinations.
