Thailand's pet food exports shine 7 months of 2025 worth US$1.68 billion

In the first seven months of 2025 (January-July), Thailand’s exports of dog and cat food reached US$1.68 billion. The USA remains Thailand’s largest export market, worth US$609.86 million, up 26% year-on-year, according to a report from the Ministry of Commerce.

Thailand’s strength in pet exports is attributed to the country’s outstanding reputation for product quality and standards.

In 2024, Thailand became the world’s second-largest exporter of pet food, with a value of US$2.67 billion and growth of 29% year-on-year. Germany led the global exports of pet food, with exports worth US$3.28 billion.
