Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand attended the premiere performance of the Khon masked dance-drama "Bali's Unbreakable Oath" presented by the Foundation for the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques (SUPPORT Foundation), continuing the royal legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, at the Main Auditorium of the Thailand Cultural Centre, before the production opens to the general public on 6 November - 8 December 2025.
• A Timeless Tale of Honor and Redemption
Directed by National Artist Associate Prof. Dr. Supachai Chansuwan, "Bali's Unbreakable Oath" brings to life one of the Ramyana's most compelling episodes. The narrative follows King Vali of Kishkindha, whose violation of a sacred vow leads to his downfall and repentance. Through spectacular battles between Vali and his brother Sugriva, and the legendary confrontation between Ravana and Rama, audiences will witness the timeless triumph of virtue over evil.
• A Fusion of Tradition and Spectacular Production
The production features ten major scenes showcasing elaborate aerial stunts, classical Thai dance sequences, breathtaking stage mechanics and special effects, and intricate choreography. Khon, Thailand's traditional masked dance-drama, represents a living link to the nation's cultural soul, exemplifying the collaborative artistry of master artists and emerging young talents.
