Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has unveiled significant results from Thailand's intensified crackdown on technology-based crimes at a press conference held at the Royal Thai Police Headquarters. The following are major results achieved from 27 October to 8 November 2025.
The government's comprehensive anti-scammer operation has delivered impressive results:
∙ Online Crime Crackdown:
- 7,174 perpetrators arrested
- 90 major cases solved with 315 suspects apprehended
- 795 fake SIM card and mule account networks dismantled
- Over 31 million baht recovered and returned to victims
∙ Online Gambling Networks:
- 26 major network operations busted
- 196 suspects arrested
- Over 41 million baht in assets seized
- 38,394 gambling website URLs blocked
∙ Border Security Measures:
- 201 Thais prevented from crossing borders to join scammer gangs
- 1,680 signal interruption points established along borders (105 fiber optic lines and 1,575 signal towers)
∙ National Priority Initiative
The Premier emphasized that the government has elevated technology crime prevention to a "national agenda." A dedicated War Room has been established at the Royal Thai Police, bringing together multiple agencies, including banks, telecom operators, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Anti-Money Laundering Office, and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission.
This collaborative approach enables:
- Real-time assistance to potential victims
- Immediate arrest of criminals
- Rapid fund recovery for victims
∙Public Awareness Campaign
The Government Public Relations Department has established a special communications center to spread awareness through radio, television, digital media, and the nationwide network of 80,000 village broadcasting towers.
The Prime Minister finally urged citizens to trust in law enforcement's commitment to protecting them from all forms of online crime, including call center gangs, online fraud, and gambling networks that continue to harm both individuals and the national economy.
