Phuket is secured as the next host destination for the world’s leading wellness economy summit, scheduled for from 10 to 13 November 2026.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced that Thailand has been selected as the host country for the Global Wellness Summit (GWS) 2026, the world’s premier platform for the global wellness economy. The announcement was made by the Global Wellness Institute during GWS 2025 in Dubai.
The host-country achievement was led by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, in partnership with Phuket Province and the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine. Presented under the theme “The Symphony of Wellness,” the bid highlights Thailand’s long-standing strength in the wellness tourism sector and how it is contributing more prominently to the global wellness economy.
The Global Wellness Summit 2026 is expected to welcome over 600 delegates from more than 30 countries, including leading experts, investors, policymakers, executives, and researchers.
Thailand’s selection reflects years of development in health and wellness, driven by medical service excellence, holistic therapies, traditional Thai medicines, and emerging health innovation. Hosting the summit is expected to encourage investment, enhance global confidence, and elevate Phuket’s position as an emerging Asian hub in the rapidly expanding wellness economy.
