Kunlavut & Janjaem Selected as Thai Flag Bearers for SEA Games Opening Ceremony

Chef de Mission of the Thai delegation for the 33rd SEA Games announced that following discussions with national sports associations regarding the selection of Thailand's flag bearers for the Opening Ceremony—scheduled for 9 December 2025 at Rajamangala National Stadium—the committee has resolved to appoint "View" Kunlavut Vitidsarn and "Bee" Janjaem Suwannapheng to undertake this honorable role. The decision was made based on their achievements, dedication, and suitability to represent Thailand on the regional stage.

Kunlavut "View" Vitidsarn is regarded as one of the most accomplished Thai badminton athletes in history. He previously held the World No. 1 ranking and is currently ranked World No. 3. He became the first Thai men's singles player to win the BWF World Championships in 2023, and secured medals in the event for two consecutive years, following his silver medal in 2022. At the junior level, he achieved global recognition by winning three consecutive World Junior Championships from 2017 to 2019.

Janjaem "Bee" Suwannapheng, meanwhile, has consistently excelled in international women's boxing. She won the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, becoming the first Thai female boxer to win an Olympic medal. Her prior achievements include a silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, a gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia, and a silver medal at the 2023 Women's World Boxing Championships.

Mr. Thana further noted that the Opening Ceremony will include an athletes' oath-taking segment. Phuriphon "Biu" Bunson, Thailand's national sprinter, has been selected as the Oath Flag Holder, accompanied by two additional athletes who will deliver the oath: Banlung "Yoo" Tubtimdang, the latest World Taekwondo Champion in the 68 kg division, and Flt. Sgt. Tanyaporn "Tanya" Prucksakorn, a national shooting athlete with multiple Olympic appearances.
