In 2026, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will strengthen Thailand’s tourism by prioritizing quality tourism and delivering a premium destination experience under the "Amazing 5 Economy" concept. This strategy comprises five key pillars:
- Life Economy: Enhancing Thailand's products and services to position the country as a leading hub for wellness and medical tourism, with a focus on physical well-being and mental healing under the campaign "Healing Is the New Luxury";
- Sub-Culture Economy: Targeting high-potential niche markets such as filmmakers, athletes, yacht and cruise travelers, and private jets;
- Night Economy: Promoting the nighttime creative economy to extend tourism hours and increase visitors’ spending across major and lesser-known cities;
- Circular Economy: Inplementing a sustainable tourism model that emphasizes efficient resource utilization through the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle;
- Platform Economy: Enabling a seamless travel experience through integrated online platforms for purchasing, selling, and payment.
Through this strategic approach, the TAT aims to generate total tourism revenue of up to 3 trillion baht (approximately US$95 billion) in 2026.
