The Amazing Thailand x LISA campaign has sparked the “traveling in Lisa’s footsteps” trend, attracting large numbers of both Thai and international tourists to the Red Lotus Sea (Talay Bua Daeng) at Non Han Lake, Kumphawapi District, Udon Thani Province. This campaign has elevated the site as an emerging tourist destination, while helping generate income for local businesses and community-based tourism operators.
According to statistics from the Community Enterprise of Fishing Boats and Red Lotus Sea Tours at Ban Diam Pier, between 1 December 2025 and 25 January 2026, the destination welcomed a total of 50,306 visitors. Of these, 26,019 were Thai tourists (51.71%), and 24,287 were international tourists (48.27%), including travelers from China, Laos, Germany, Japan, and other counties.
A key highlight of the Red Lotus experience is taking a boat service dedicated to photography, which allows visitors to capture the scenic beauty of the blooming lotus fields. On 24 and 25 January 2026 alone, a total of 711 large boat trips and 167 small boat trips were operated, serving 4,601 tourists and generating 405,600 baht (approximately 13,025 US dollars). During the Red Lotus Sea tourism season in 2026 (November 2025 – February 2026), visitor numbers are expected to exceed 120,000 people.
The most picturesque time of day to view the lotus blooms is between 06.00 and 11.00 hr. The recommended travel season runs until mid-February.
