Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office, Supamas Isarabhakdi, as Chair of the Public Relations Committee for the Royal Cremation Ceremony of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, presided over the committee's first meeting on 5 February at Government House.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office Chuencheewan Limptheerakul, Director-General of the Public Relations Department Sudruetai Lertkasem, and representatives from relevant agencies.
The meeting established a comprehensive roadmap to ensure accurate, complete, and dignified communication befitting Her Majesty's honor, while showcasing the magnificence of Thai royal traditions to the world.
Key Initiatives:
*Digital Information Hub: Launch of queensirikit.go.th as the official repository for Her Majesty's biography, royal duties, and ceremony information for global media and public access. Information is currently available at queensirikit.prd.go.th and Phra Larn page.
*Proactive Coverage: Parallel communications strategy covering all stages—from construction of the Royal Crematorium to rehearsals of the grand Royal Procession.
*Enhanced Media Services: Establishment of Media Center and International Broadcasting Center (IBC), plus bilingual Media Manual (Thai-English) to support global news coverage.
Minister Supamas emphasized: "This is not merely about providing information—it's about conveying Her Majesty's immeasurable grace and the beauty of Thai arts and culture to the world. All communications must be meticulously verified to be accurate, comprehensive, and befitting the highest royal honor."
The Committee will work in close coordination with all sectors to ensure comprehensive public access, honoring the memory of the "Mother of the Land."
