The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has partnered with leading travel agents and online travel agencies—including Qunar.com, Tongcheng, Fliggy, Klook, Tuniu, Guangzhou Comfort, and 6renyou—to launch joint sales promotions from January to March under the campaign "Zhong Tai Yi Jia Qin—China and Thailand Are One Family." TAT has also joined forces with Thai Airways and King Power to offer exclusive privileges, encouraging Chinese tourists to visit Thailand during the Chinese New Year holiday. Market-boosting activities will continue throughout all major holiday periods in 2026 to drive Chinese arrivals toward the year's targets.
For "Amazing Thailand Happy Chinese New Year 2026," celebrations are being held at two main locations in Bangkok: light decorations along Yaowarat Road (Odean Circle to Chaloem Buri intersection) from 7 February to 1 March 2026, 18:00-23:00, and Chinese New Year activities at Siam Paragon from 14 to 19 February 2026, 16:00-22:00.
Additional events include "Amazing Thailand Chinese New Year 2026 @ Hat Yai" taking place from 17 to 20 February 2026 along Saneha Nusorn Road in Songkhla Province. The Chao Pho–Chao Mae Pak Nam Pho procession in Nakhon Sawan runs from 10 to 21 February, while the Dragon Descendants Museum in Suphan Buri hosts the "18 Years of the Heavenly Dragon" event on 17 and 18 February.
During the 2026 Chinese New Year travel period (13 to 22 February), TAT forecasts approximately 241,000 Chinese visitors, underscoring Thailand's continued appeal as a preferred destination for Chinese travelers throughout 2026.
