Fuel Supply and Distribution
Dr. Sarawut Kaewtatip confirmed that Thailand maintains sufficient overall oil reserves, estimated to last around 103 days, with supply levels exceeding normal demand. However, a sharp surge in consumption has caused temporary distribution bottlenecks in some areas. The government has responded by allowing 24-hour fuel transportation nationwide, increasing supply, and accelerating distribution. The situation is expected to stabilise within one to two weeks, while irregularities in fuel transport are under investigation.
Price Monitoring and Consumer Protection
Ms. Yanee Srimanee reported that authorities have intensified inspections to prevent hoarding and unjustified price increases. A total of 2,321 inspections have been conducted nationwide, with some violations identified and legal action taken. Measures to ease the cost of living, including the expansion of “Blue Flag” low-cost outlets and targeted support for farmers and low-income groups, are also being implemented. Authorities reaffirmed strict enforcement against exploitative practices.
Impact on Thai Nationals and Government Assistance
Mr. Panidorn Pachimsawat stated that the Middle East situation remains volatile, with escalating attacks affecting energy infrastructure and global stability. Thai citizens are advised to avoid high-risk areas and follow official updates. The government continues to assist nationals in affected areas, with 1,475 Thai nationals already evacuated. One Thai worker in Israel has been confirmed deceased, and arrangements are underway to return the body to Thailand.
The government reaffirmed that it will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide full support to affected citizens. The public is encouraged to remain calm, continue daily activities as normal, use energy responsibly, and rely on official information.
