Thailand is advancing the nomination of traditional Thai attire, or Chud Thai, for inclusion on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Chud Thai is gaining international recognition through the royal initiative of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, who has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Thailand's cultural heritage.
The effort not only continues the legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, whose dedication laid the foundation for preserving Thai textiles and culture, but also highlights the Thai craftsmanship and national identity embodied in traditional Thai attire, bringing them to the global stage.
