🔹 Thailand Strengthens Fuel Supply, Price Measures, and Support for Nationals Amid Middle East Developments

∙ Energy and Fuel Management
The Government reported improving fuel distribution, with refinery output increasing and supply to service stations expected to return to near-normal levels within days. Measures to ease reserve requirements have boosted supply across the system, while a real-time dashboard tracking fuel distribution—from refineries to service stations—is set to launch to enhance transparency and prevent hoarding. Thailand’s refining capacity remains strong, and authorities continue to encourage efficient energy use amid global uncertainty.

∙ Electricity and LNG Supply
Thailand’s power system remains stable, supported by diversified energy sources and sufficient LNG supply. Additional LNG shipments have been secured, while domestic gas and alternative energy sources have been increased to reduce reliance on imports. Although global LNG prices have risen significantly, authorities are focusing on cost management to minimize impacts on electricity prices.

∙ Cost of Living and Price Controls
The Ministry of Commerce confirmed that essential goods remain adequately supplied, with no immediate need for price increases. To ease cost pressures, the “Thai Helping Thai” initiative will roll out affordable house-brand products nationwide from April–May. Authorities are also expanding price controls, intensifying inspections, and continuing subsidy programmes such as Blue Flag and Green Flag Plus to support consumers and farmers.

∙ Situation in the Middle East and Assistance to Thais
The situation remains tense and requires close monitoring. Thai nationals in high-risk areas are advised to leave as soon as possible and stay in contact with embassies. Assistance efforts continue, including evacuation support and coordination for safe transit. The Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv is arranging the repatriation of a Thai worker who lost his life in Israel, while several Thai nationals in Iran have safely crossed into Türkiye and are preparing to return home. To date, 1,483 Thais have been assisted in leaving affected areas.

The Government reaffirmed its commitment to closely monitor developments and implement proactive measures to safeguard public confidence, economic stability, and the well-being of Thai nationals.
