Thailand Reaffirms Fuel Supply, Tightens Monitoring for Songkran

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul met with the economic management team to address energy concerns ahead of Songkran holiday, confirming that Thailand has over 100 days of oil reserves. He called for strict monitoring of fuel prices and increased supply to ensure adequate domestic consumption.

Amid concerns over possible fuel shortages during Songkran, the Prime Minister instructed the Joint Management and Monitoring Center for the Situation in the Middle East to maintain sufficient fuel supply for public travel and to keep price levels reasonable.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Phipat Ratchakitprakarn ordered enhanced inspections of fuel transportation, using GPS tracking data from tanker trucks, and directed the development of a dashboard to monitor oil supply at every stage.
