Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, acting as Director of the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), has ordered a nationwide crackdown on fuel hoarding and the illegal smuggling of oil out of Thailand, effective immediately.

Following an urgent meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army and the Army Chief of Staff, ISOC has been directed to monitor and inspect the entire fuel supply chain from production to pump:

Refineries — ISOC's Energy Security Center will oversee oil production and distribution at refineries to prevent illegal supply from being diverted.

Transport & Distribution — Provincial ISOC units and border defense forces will monitor fuel transport routes, with special focus on high-risk border areas to stop smuggling.

Gas Stations — Joint inspection teams will conduct random checks at service stations nationwide, looking for stockpiling, irregular sales volumes, and any unlawful activity.

The government is committed to maintaining energy stability, ensuring fair pricing for the public, and promoting full transparency in Thailand's energy trade.
