Thailand Is Rolling Out the Welcome Mat for Songkran 2026: Free Tolls & Free Parking

Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn has rolled out a range of free services to make your Songkran travel smoother and safer from 10–19 April 2026.

∙ Free tolls on major expressways & motorways
Skip the toll fees on key routes including Bangkok–Pattaya (Motorway 7) and the outer Bangkok ring road — free from 10–16 April. Several expressways within Bangkok are also free during 13–15 April.

∙ Free parking at Suvarnabhumi Airport
Flying in or out for Songkran? Long-stay parking at Zone C is completely free from 11–15 April, with a complimentary Shuttle Bus connecting the car park to the terminal.

∙ Free vehicle safety checks
Heading upcountry by car? Over 150 roadside checkpoints nationwide are offering free vehicle inspections throughout the festival period.

∙ Smoother roads ahead
All construction activity on major roads will be paused during the holiday, with extra lighting added on key routes for safer night driving.
