Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, through the Department of Internal Trade, has launched “Fruits Festival 2026,” bringing premium Thai fruits directly from orchards to consumers during the peak harvest season.
The campaign aims to distribute more than 150 tons of Thai fruits, including durian, mangosteen, mangoes, and other tropical fruit varieties, through both online platforms and special events at shopping centers in Bangkok. It is also intended to sustain the local economy, especially during this period when large volumes of fruit flood the market.
The festival is being held at Central Westgate from 6 to 11 May 2026 and will take place at Central Pinklao between 6 and 12 June 2026.
The Department of Internal Trade explained that the initiative would provide more marketing channels for farmers and stabilize fruit prices, while opening up greater opportunities for local residents and foreign visitors in Thailand to enjoy high-quality seasonal tropical fruits directly from growers at reasonable prices.
