Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul visited Bang Tao Beach in Phuket Province to oversee efforts to address illegal encroachment on public land and reinforce safety measures for local residents and tourists.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Government will not tolerate intimidation, criminal activity, or unlawful groups threatening local communities and visitors. He reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to maintaining public safety and confidence in tourist destinations.
Deputy Interior Minister Warasit Liangprasit has been assigned to coordinate with relevant agencies and local authorities to ensure law enforcement, improve area management, and support sustainable community solutions.
The Government also plans to develop “Bang Tao Sandbox” as a pilot model for improving public space management and safety standards in other tourist areas across Thailand.
