"Sawasdee Thailand," the English-language radio program by Radio Thailand, under the Government Public Relations Department (PRD), has taken 3rd place in the Best Radio Program category at the AIBD International Award 2026.

The award was presented on 12 May 2026, at the 21st Asia Media Summit in the Maldives — one of the most prestigious media events in the Asia-Pacific region. PRD Deputy Director-General Supapong Chaolan accepted the honor on behalf of the team.

"Sawasdee Thailand" showcases the best of the Land of Smiles, from cultural heritage and natural wonders to modern Thai lifestyle, keeping both Thai and international listeners up to date with weekly and monthly event highlights.

The AIBD International Award is the Asia-Pacific region's premier broadcasting honor, presented annually by AIBD to recognize outstanding media content that raises the bar for international broadcasting standards.
