Thailand Showcases Tourism Strength at TTM+ 2026 - Reinforcing Global Destination Status

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has officially opened the Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2026 — the country's premier tourism trade event — running 10–12 June 2026 in Chonburi province under the theme "Healing is the New Luxury."

The event brings together 429 international buyers from 58 countries and 428 Thai tourism operators, reflecting Thailand's strong commitment to sustainable tourism and its standing as a leading global destination.

Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul emphasized that tourism remains a key driver of Thailand's economy, with TTM+ serving as a vital platform to foster business partnerships, generate income for local communities, and advance the government's "Two Countries, One Destination" strategy with neighboring countries, including Laos, Myanmar, and Bhutan.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool noted that the event is a testament to the resilience of Thailand's tourism industry in the face of global economic uncertainties. More than 15,000 business appointments are expected to generate upwards of THB5 billion (US$149 million) in tourism revenue, supporting Thailand's ambitious goal of welcoming more than 33 million visitors and generating at least THB2.65 trillion (US$79.1 billion) in tourism income in 2026.

In a world where healing has become the new luxury, Thailand remains the destination of choice for travelers seeking something truly extraordinary.
