Thailand has been ranked the world’s second-leading medical tourism destination in the “Top 50 Medical Tourism Destinations in the World for 2026” by Travel and Tour World (TTW), a global travel media platform. The ranking, developed by TTW editorial experts, reflects growing international confidence in Thailand’s public health capability and its reputation as a premier destination for medical tourism.
The TTW highlighted Thailand’s strengths, stating, “Thailand is one of the world’s most established medical tourism destinations, attracting international patients with affordable healthcare, internationally recognized hospitals, experienced specialists, and strong tourism infrastructure.”
According to the 2026 ranking, the top ten medical tourism destinations are Turkey, Thailand, India, Mexico, South Korea, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and Colombia.
