Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phancharoenworakul confirmed that a foreign tourist who threatened and harassed the owner of an open zoo in Koh Samui has already had their visa revoked. It’s a firm response to misconduct that has no place in Thai tourism.

On the question of broader visa reviews for specific nationalities, the Ministry made its position clear that every case will be assessed individually, with no blanket judgments made against any nationality. Visas will be swiftly revoked wherever necessary.

To help visitors start their trip on the right foot, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is working closely with embassies and airlines to brief incoming travelers on Thai laws, cultural norms, and proper conduct before landing.

Travelers are also reminded to contact the tourist police immediately if any safety issues arise while in Thailand.
