Thai Embassy in Kathmandu Closely Monitors Flash Floods in Nepal, Ensures 24-Hour Assistance for Thai Nationals

Thai Ambassador to Nepal Donnawit Poolsawat has provided an update on the flash flooding in the Bhote Koshi River area of Rasuwa District, northern Nepal, following the flooding on 26 August 2026.

The Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with relevant Nepalese authorities to verify the safety of Thai nationals in the affected area. According to preliminary information from the Nepal Tourism Board, no Thai nationals have so far been reported among the fatalities.

The Ambassador urged all Thai nationals in Nepal to closely follow announcements from Nepalese authorities, avoid affected areas, and comply with official safety instructions. He reaffirmed the Embassy's readiness to coordinate assistance for Thai nationals around the clock.
